Features Pet Spotter (cat & dog)

Are you curious about the functions of the Pet Spotter? We will lay these out below. A complete overview can be found in the manual.

View location

The Pet Spotter automatically sends a location every 5 minutes which you can view online on your account or via the Spotter app. Want to view a location more often than every 5 minutes? Then you can request the location manually. By going to the map, you can click on the icon that indicates where the Pet Spotter is currently located and select the option ‘request location’. You will now receive the current location of the Pet Spotter every 60 seconds for 3 minutes. All locations will be available for 24 hours, after which the data will be deleted. By going to ‘home’ in the online account, you can see the location of the Pet Spotter.

Set zones

You can easily set up a zone. Think, for example, of your home address, care institution, school, work or homes of family members. If the Spotter enters or leaves the zone, you will immediately receive a notification via the app as a push notification. It is possible to set 5 different zones.

To set up a zone:

  • Log in via the app or via the website
  • When you are logged in you will see 3 dashes at the top left, then go to ‘zone’.
  • At the ‘plus sign’ you can create a new zone.
  • You can now choose an icon such as the house for the ‘home location’.
  • You can then drag this icon to the location or you will find a bar at the top where you can enter the address of the desired zone.
  • You can then indicate how large you want this zone to be, this works in a circle.

The zone is now activated and if the Spotter leaves or re-enters this circle, you will receive a notification. You can change or delete it by clicking on the zone and choosing ‘edit’ or ‘delete’.

SOS alert

Pressing and holding the SOS button on the front for 3 seconds will send an SOS notification. This notification + location will be sent to the online account by e-mail and the user who is logged in via the Spotter app will receive a push notification. In the app you can see the location of where the SOS button was pressed and you can then call the Spotter to ask what is going on. Here’s how to make a call .

Set alarm

Set up to 3 different alarm times when you want an alarm to go off on the Pet Spotter. For example, you can enter your four-legged friend’s meal times and you can train your four-legged friend to come home to eat when the alarm sounds. The alarm will stop automatically after 30 seconds.

Compass

With the compass you can see in which direction you have to walk to find your four-legged friend. Point your smartphone and the compass will show you in which direction to walk.

Heat map

View your four-legged friend’s favorite hotspots. What area does he or she visit most often?

Streetview

By selecting the Street view function, a separate internet page is opened with the coordinates where the Pet Spotter is currently located. This way you can see where your four-legged friend is at street level.

Calling

You can also call the Pet Spotter, for example if your four-legged friend is missing and the finder presses the SOS button. You log in to the Spotter app and click on the Pet Spotter icon on the map. A menu will now appear, where you can choose the option ‘Call’. The Pet Spotter will now ring and you can record by briefly pressing the SOS button once. A European mobile phone number will be called, regular calling costs of your telephone provider may apply.

Note: When you call the Pet Spotter, this does not include the prepaid credit . You call from your own smartphone to a European mobile number, calling costs of your telephone provider may apply.
