Reset step-by-step plan Spotter GPS tracker

Step 1. Check the battery

Make sure the Spotter has sufficient battery. If the blue LED light of the Spotter GPS tracker flashes quickly, it means that the battery is less than 15%. Fully charge the Spotter in 2-3 hours. Disconnect the Spotter from the charger when it is fully charged.

Step 2. Prepaid credit

Also check whether the Spotter still has prepaid credit. To do this, go to the Spotter settings. It is possible that the prepaid credit has expired, as a result of which the Spotter can no longer send data. You can top up the Spotter with 3, 6 or 12 months of prepaid credit via your online account. After the upgrade, the Spotter is active again within 30 minutes.

Step 3. Turn off the Spotter

Switch off the Spotter (press SOS button and on/off button at the same time).

Step 4. Check the GPS range

To determine the location, it is important that the Spotter GPS Tracker has good GPS range (blue LED light). Turn the Spotter on, outside or near the window for the best possible range. Therefore, use the diagram below to check whether the range is good.

  • Fast blinks 1 time in 3 seconds. The Spotter has a GPS fix.
  • Flashes very slowly 1 time in 3 seconds. The Spotter does not have a GPS fix.
  • Not flashing. The GPS chip is in sleep mode.

If there is no good GPS range, we recommend using the Spotter at a different location so that the GPS signal can be received (preferably outside). Or turn the Spotter off and on again at a location with good GPS coverage.

Step 5. Another location comes through

Within a few minutes/hours the first location should come back in. Also refresh the page. Did you not receive a location and did you follow all the steps? Please contact our customer service via the contact form.
